I just heard this article on NPR and it is the MOST AMAZING THING EVER this little parable about creativity and cyberculture and Facebook and fandom.

Cow Clicker is not a very fun game anymore. <3<3<3

Why does NPR not provide transcripts? :(

(I feel so old-fashioned that I want to absorb information in printed format.)

(And yes, I did listen to the story.)

(The exact quote -- from the very end of the piece, right? -- is, "Cow Clicker 'was not a very fun game anymore.'")

The idea of making more out of something than the creator intended is very much a fandom thing. I think I keep hitting up against my negativity toward those clicking games, though, in my experience of this piece.

Yeah, I also feel I have read transcripts on the NPR website as well -- which is part of why I was confused.

I am glad you are in a good mood. I will quietly keep my negativity to myself (easy since I am gonna fall into bed soon).
